The NotaBle Acts Theatre Company is seeking directors for plays to be staged in our 2024 Summer Theatre Festival, which will run from July 25-August 3. Rehearsals will take place in Fredericton over the month of July; hence directors will need to be based here or willing to commute. Plays to be staged will fall under the following categories:
- Taking It to the Streets (Ten-minute plays – Moderate rehearsal commitment)
- Readings (Public readings of a play – Relatively small rehearsal commitment)
- Street Scenes (Site-specific plays – Moderate Rehearsal commitment)
- Acting Out (One-act plays – Large Rehearsal commitment)
All directors will receive small honorariums for their work, with pay scale increasing with greater rehearsal time required per category of play.
A call for general auditions for actors for festival productions (dates/times TBD between July 6-10) will follow within the next week.
If you are interested in directing a play with us, please email a short application letter to NotaBle Acts Artistic Director Len Falkenstein at lfalken@unb.ca answering the following questions. The deadline for applications is 12 PM (noon) on Wednesday, July 3. Please address any questions you may have to the same email address.
