Thank you for a wonderful 20th anniversary season!

We at Bard in the Barracks are feeling proud and very thankful as we end our 20th season of outdoor Shakespeare in Fredericton. We persevered despite the weather cancellations, and even performed for an excellent audience in the rain (see second photo!!)

We have many people we’d like to thank in closing, including our funders: UNB, Downtown Fredericton Inc, the City of Fredericton, Fredericton Tourism, and our venue partners: Christ Church Cathedral and Capital Winter Club.

Thank you to our incredibly hard working cast and crew who dedicated their time to share Shakespeare with the community. Their remarkable talent shone through both productions: transforming Odell into a medieval fairytale, and the Cathedral Grounds into an 80s rock and roll playground.

Thank you to each and every audience member who came out to see the shows. We are so grateful for your support, and for helping local theatre to thrive! Thanks so much for including Bard in the Barracks as part of your summer, and we can’t wait to see you next year!

Summer theatre is not over just yet, as we have Notable Acts Theatre Festival (nbacts.com) coming up, running from July 22 – August 1, which features 100% New Brunswick theatre in various locations across Fredericton. Make sure to follow the NotaBle social media and website at nbacts.com to catch the 15 plays featured at the festival.
